Sex and Health
Sex has clearly earned its place as the most enjoyable way to express our deepest emotions.
The passion involved is just sometimes un-explainable.
The levels of dopamine release and euphoria experienced from sex is most cases is purely ethereal
Do you know scientist say it mirrors the effects of drugs in our brain even in terms of addiction ? Now, Lets explore proven scientific benefits of this Carnal passion
From
being compare to the psychedelic drugs and sedatives to its ability to act as
an anti-depressant, Sex is proven to have health values.
Sex and
Pain
Studies have
passed the levels of speculation and can clearly confirm that sex apparently
unleashes a bevy of chemical compounds into the brain, starting with oxytocin, otherwise known as the bonding or cuddle hormone
which are useful in reducing and in some cases eliminating pain.
Oxytocin is a
powerful hormone which plays a crucial role in the childbirth process and also
helps with male reproduction.
Oxytocin
similarly increases with sensual touch between adults, and peaks during orgasm.
Research
consistently shows that oxytocin not only increases emotional connection, it
also promotes a sense of calm and well-being, and reduces the effects of stress when measured by blood
pressure and cortisol, all of which are relevant in reducing perceptions of
pain.
Oxytocin is
currently being tested as an avenue of treatment for neuropathic and
inflammatory pain.
2013 German study, 60% of participants who
had migraines and 30% of cluster-headache sufferers who had sex
during a headache episode reported partial
or total relief.
PhD, a professor emerita at
Rutgers University who has conducted some research on the topic also supports
these findings.
Anti-depressing Sex
There has been significant work on this
area but particularly in a recent study the researches actually suggests that
exposure to semen may help fight depression. The research also found that semen
may provide mood-boosting hormones and chemical
compounds for women.
Extensive
studies on males indicate that the sex act elevates mood,” says Rebecca Burch,
PhD, a researcher in the department of psychology at the State University of
New York in Oswego, and one of the authors of the semen study. “The condom
groups did not differ in depressive symptoms, but the males who were not having
sex were significantly more depressed.”
A 2002 study out of the University at Albany looked at 300
women and found that those who had sex without a condom had fewer depressive
symptoms than women who did use a condom. The researchers
hypothesized that various compounds in semen, including estrogen and
prostaglandin, have antidepressant properties, which are then absorbed into the
body after sex.
But in no way does this eliminate or
reduces the idea of caution, In fact, risky sex has been associated with
negative self-esteem. Burch stresses that, despite the possible mood enhancing
effect of semen, “unprotected sex can lead to plenty of depressing conditions
like sexually transmitted diseases or unwanted pregnancy.”
Sex for good memory
Whether in the short or long term,
sex is beginning to show positive signs that lead scientist to conclude that it
might just be the next natural brain booster.
Extensive research conducted in
the past has found that sexual activity boosted memory and brain power in rats,
encouraging the growth of new neurons in the part of the brain responsible for
memory,
A research conducted in 2013, which focused on male rats found
that daily sexual activity was linked not only to generating more new neurons,
but also to enhanced cognitive functioning.
While these findings imply that sex may be good for the
brains of rats, what about humans? A recent study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior provides
evidence that sex could potentially be good for our brains as well.
Sex 4 Immunity
If we eat
right, stay active, get enough sleep and have safe sex our bodies might just be able to develop the
anti-bodies we need to fight unwanted illness.
“Sexually active
people take fewer sick days,” says Yvonne K. Fulbright, PhD a sexual
health expert.
It is equally well
documented that people who have sex have higher levels of what defends your
body against germs, viruses, and other intruders.
Researchers at Wilkes
University in Pennsylvania found that college students who had sex once or
twice a week had higher levels of the a certain antibody compared to students
who had sex less often.
Research suggests a
link between sex and lower blood pressure, says Joseph J. Pinzone, MD. He is CEO and medical director
of Amai Wellness.
Healthy sexual habits
are clearly beneficial in ways that are too numerous to mention but from the
few reports documented by experts it is safe to say there is a healthy reason
why sex is sooo sweet!...Read more on Healthy sex and articles like this on https://fymasolution.com/index.php
